Terrific Product – Zero Complaints, November 27, 2010

We were in the market for a LED HD television, and our plans for it were pretty simple. It needed to fit a 47″ opening; be capable of being hooked up a dvd player, and possibly adding cable (but not critical as this is not our main television). We also wanted it to have great sound as the room where it was to housed has cathedral ceilings.

We had never heard of the brand TCL, “The Creative Life”, but as it turns out the brand is very popular in China. Our television arrived 8 days after our order was placed, and we were called by a professional delivery service, in advance to arrange for a convenient time to deliver it. The (2) men who arrived were very professional and stated that as part of the service they could even unpack it to make sure it arrived in perfect condition (which it did)……the delivery service we got was awesome. (Amazon does it right).

As for the set up, we were anxious as both my husband and I are technically challenged. Was I relieved (and pretty proud as well), to find the set up to be super easy. The instruction manuals (English, and (2) other languages) provided step by step directions that enabled me to set this television up in less than 20 minutes. I was thrilled.

As for the television itself, it’s awesome:

1. Easy easy to use.

2. Full size remote (batteries included)

3. No complicated menus.

4. Excellent color, and brightness

5. Image quality is awesome

6. The jacks were labeled well and easily accessible.

7. Multiple HDMI Slots

8. Sound is incredible (could be blown out of the room if played at max levels!

Additional speakers or sound system is not needed for our room.

We are loving this product and have enjoyed (3) movies on it so far since it arrived yesterday. I cannot find anything negative about this product after the first 24 hours, and we are thrilled that it came with a (2) year warranty as well. This product compares well to the 42″ Samsung we purchased (5) years ago for well over ,000 at that time.

Pleasantly Surprised, November 17, 2010

I must tell you I was a bit skeptical since there were 0 reviews at time of purchase. I was going to pickup one of the LCD models since they have been out longer and had some quality reviews. To make a long story short, I went for the LED version and am glad I did. I am using it as a monitor to type this as we speak.

Pros:

Very thin and light

Lots of HDMI’s and a USB port

Puts out zero heat (my 42″ Vizio used to heat up my whole office)

Great picture as CPU monitor and with Comcast HD

I was able to do a find on the Comcast remote and can now fully control it

LED Price point

Great TV, after adjusting the sound, November 28, 2010

I agree with everything said in the adjacent reviews of November 17th and 27th. In addition, this TV looks solid and beautiful just sitting on a shelf. My only initial negative impression, a tinny sound, was quickly solved by using the internal equalizer to give the two bass ranges a little boost, and the two treble ranges a little dampening. After that, EVERYTHING was great!
