I will start off by saying I am no electronics expert by far, and I just wanted a plain ole tv to watch …. not a computer monitor or to use for gaming system. I have been watching it for about a month and it has a good picture and I have used the dvd quite often and that works fine. It takes a while to turn on, 5 sec but I can live with that. It suits by needs & I am pleased with product and price 0. So if you just need a tv, nothing fancy, try it.

Not a bad TV, By

I bought one of these TVs in spite of the other reviews. It’s just been a couple of weeks, but I’m pretty glad I bought it. I did have a bit of trouble loading a DVD at first. Seems it was out of sync, i.e. it was in the “DVD loaded” position with no DVD in yet. After messing with it a few times and hitting the eject button, I got it to load, and no problems since then. The picture in standard definition leaves a bit to be desired, but that’s fairly common with HD TVs. On digital channels, it looks really good for the price. Overall I’d say, if you want a computer monitor, buy a monitor, not a TV. If you want top of the line, buy a Samsung or LG TV. But if you don’t want to spend a lot, and you want a decent little TV, this one seems to work just fine.

I bought this television from Target to bring to college with me. I set it up to discover that the dvd player does not work. Looking at other reviews from similar products made by magnavox to discover the same problem. My advice is to buy a differemt brand, buy the television they have to show, or test it at the store. |
